Hello everyone!

Is there an acronym guide somewhere on the site? I keep seeing people use acronyms like MS and I've thought and thought and some of them I just can't match up.

And.... I have no idea how to do strike though text. Since it seems to be a good tool for crits, can someone please enlighten me?

Hi, Dragonairis. :welcome:

Here's the AbsoluteWrite Dictionary for all those pesky acronyms and initialisms.

As for strike-through, at the start of what you want to strike-out, type an S surrounded by square brackets, like this: At the end of what you want to strike-out, do the same but with /S (also contained in square brackets. I just can't type them in or it will strike this out. :))

So:

square bracket S square bracket

at the start and

square bracket /S square bracket

at the end of the strike-out text.

Ah! Thanks! Should have known!

You're welcome.

Your other option for the strike-through is to hit the "go advanced" button at the bottom right of the reply box. That'll give you a strike-through button (and a few others too). :)

Hi everyone!

My new year's resolution: finish the rough draft of a book (hopefully the book I've started, but if that doesn't work out, some book I start soon)

Hi Pubbers, old and new :)

Hi everyone!

My new year's resolution: finish the rough draft of a book (hopefully the book I've started, but if that doesn't work out, some book I start soon)
Mine is to get my first novel finished, and pitch it to agents.

Of course -- that was last year's New Year's resolution, too.

I'll be on the sidelines, cheering for you. :e2cheer:

(I haven't made a resolution, but I am working diligently on my WIP.)

Hey everyone. It's pretty chilly out there, ain't it? Could I trouble you for a corona?

Just wondering, what kind of genres are you guys writing in right now? I'm currently trying my hand at YA drama.

Thanks, chap. Much appreciated. Hope you make great progress with your WIP, this year.

Hi Mr. Pinkgrass -- I'm on the second draft of a Middle-grade fantasy. How's the writing going?

Hello everyone, could I trouble you for a drink? It's not yet five, but I could use something strong. Anything with vodka would be much appreciated. :D

Mr. Pinkgrass I'm working on my first YA novel too, but it's a spy thriller.

Cheers!

Oh, and I'll have a slice of the chocolate cake too, please. Preferably Dauntless cake if there's any left. ;)

Welcome to the Pub, Dear Heart. :welcome:

*slides over a vodka tonic and a slice of Dauntless chocolate cake*

I'll leave the rest of the cake in the fridge if you want more. :)
