Jack-Shoulda kept my big mouth shut.

We each have our own phobias. Mine is an unreasonable aversion to snakes--unreasonable, because where I live, the only poisonous snakes have rattles on their tails, but I give all of 'em a wide berth.

The lady I live with, however, doesn't like spiders indoors. I'm totally deaf , so I can't hear screams, but wildly thrashing arms let me know I should play superguy and escort arachnids to the garden.

*Walks in, dusty and windblown.*

*Takes off sunglasses, exposing tan lines around his eyes in the shape of the glasses he just took off.*

What is the heck happened to the pub? Everything's all different!

*Looks around. Sighs.*

The coat pegs are on the other side of the door! And who chose the paint? Slate just isn't a very good pub color! They should've made it ochre or goldenrod, or sienna. Heck, even dark olive or teal would be an improvement.

*Looks at the seating. Gasps.*

They moved my favorite table!

*Hangs up jacket and backpack, and starts crawling around the pub, looking at the underside of each table.*

It's here somewhere....I can't have my coffee without my favorite table...

*Sighs. Continues searching.*

Spiders get a bad rap, I think. They're actually fascinating creatures. And they help keep the insect population under control.

If you see one, let me know. I don't mind another pet!

We're cool insect and creepy crawlie phobia peeps! I just checked everywhere, even underneath the Moose. The only bugs I've seen in here are flies...

*Lets out a long sigh. Grabs a glass mug and pours himself a foamy beer. Sits at the bar, shoulders slumped.*

I tried tellin' people, Jack. Coloring a pub in gray tones makes people feel like they're getting drunk in a raincloud. People don't wanna feel dreary while they're getting tanked.

*Mumbles into his drink.*

*The piece de resistance at the center of the disco dance floor? Kuranes's pub table, lacquered in gold*

*muffled cackles heard from below*
*trapdoor closes slowly on a puff of glitter and humming "Stayin Alive"*

Jack opens the pub door and walks inside. Just as the strobe light hits Kuranes shiny table and reflects.

Stumbles into the bar, slips, and ends up face down in a bowl of semi-hard chocolate pudding. Grimaces, then licks own face clean. Including his eyelids.

incredibly hyper, been writing and chatting with my friend-who's-basically-my-adorable-daughter about the movie she's watching xD little lonely though, my sis is hanging out with a friend she hasn't seen in forever so she's not online today, and won't be til monday I think.

Just popping on for a few after a lovely evening riding in the new classic car with the hubby and having laughed too much at a marginal movie that wasn't meant to be funny.

Not doing a bit of writing tonight. And telling myself that is just fine.

Writing anything in particular or just brainstorming?

xD I'm too tired to think up an entirely original story right now, haven't slept right in a while, so I'm screwing around with a fanfic. I do a lot of them cuz the person who reads my work the most enjoys them quite a bit, though she likes when I do original stuff, I just have some trouble with sticking to a plot xD

Hmm. For some reason I can't help but hear Winnie the Pooh right now, muttering something about sticky and plots, only it's "pots", which makes me think about honey and Pooh Bear might have some advice on sticking to plots, especially when they involve plotting about something sticky.

I have no idea where I was going with this.

But sometimes sticking with a plot may mean coming back to it from time to time and not trying to do it all at once. Whatever works for you!

I've been working something up in my original story universe for a little while now, but I always feel a tad bit uncomfortable about putting it where others can see it. it's gotten me through some horrible depression in the past, so I'm kinda possessive of it. plus in the fanfics, I can do all kinda of cool things and my krystal(the girl's basically my daughter) freaking LOVES it. she likes fanfics anyway, so getting one from me(especially since I always write in a character to represent her) makes her even happier.

Well, that deserves a plate of cookies. Oatmeal pineapple golden raisin with a hint of shaved carrot (trust me, it's really good - applesauce is the secret ingredient).
