    Dancing Lemur Press, LLC

Search function yielded no prior posts, not much available online, no staff info, listed in P&E (no warnings), based in Pikeville, North Carolina... Trade paperback and e-book publishing... Has anyone dealt with them?

A little Google-fu shows that they've been around since 2008. They have about a dozen books available and a thirteenth due out in April. The vast majority of the books were written by L. Diane Wolfe. The Wysk Business Report shows one Lesley Wolfe as manager (the only staff person listed). Infer from that what you will.

ETA: Here is a link to Ms. Wolfe's website, Spunk on a Stick.

Does anybody have more info about this one? Is it just for self-publishing?

Looks like you need a marketing plan to submit. Never mind...

Although they have more authors than they did a few years ago, nothing else seems to have changed much in their format. They still run Freedom Fox Press which has little in the way of explanation for itself--it seems to be a "hybrid" press, but doesn't say so outright. As for the main press, their covers aren't great. They require a marketing plan and, based on that and other language on the submissions page, I feel like they are leaning heavily on their authors to create sales.
