Is it legitimate? It looks like it started in the 1970s and is a smaller, indie press. Has anyone dealt with them or heard anything?

I've seen the site, but it doesn't speak to its legitimacy. SoHo press looks to be on the level, but P&E says it's getting bad feedback from clients. Does anyone know about this?

Not here, but there
Wow, Soho's getting bad now? That's surprising to hear, I always thought they were so good.

Persea is a pretty respected small press--at least in terms of poetry (I can't say for the other genres). But as you can tell from that last statement, this is not a press that will be making you tons of money.

Persea Books

Has anyone had experience with Persea Books?

https://www.perseabooks.com/

Only two titles show up in PM, but I know small presses do not necessarily report.

They do not show up in newauth's list of Respectable/Notable Small Presses in a separate thread.

The Absolute Write FAQs subforum is for Frequently Asked Questions about Absolute Write.

I'll move this post to the extant thread on Pesea Books in the Bewares and Recommendations forum.
