Anyone use adsense? Or anything like it? I'm trying to find a adsense alternative, suggestions?

I love the ideas behind Project Wonderful even though writing blogs aren't really the target audience there. Fair warning, though, it's far from the best banner ad service from a monetary POV.

Huh? I guess the inspiration for advertising on your blog comes from blogs that don't have books as the reason for blogging like travel, sports, fishing. Why blog to sell your book(s) and have readers click away to buy something else?

I don't blog to sell anything. I blog to blather on about things that interest me. If people read that, great. If people read that then see a cool webcomic or novel by a fellow artist on my sidebar and they want to check that out, then even better.

If I had the high clickaway rate problem you describe (fortunately, I don't) I'd be more curious why my content isn't compelling enough to pull readers back when they get distracted by a sidebanner.

I tentatively offer this post, made three minutes ago, though with apologies because it's probably not what you wanted, really. :)

That's such a good post. I'd be tempted to turn off my sidebanners if I was hawking a book right now (though I consider carefully curated ads harmless enough, so it depends on my financial situation).

I think adsense is a joke personally ... three thousand views and all I get is fifty cents ... yay!

It is not a flat rate. I have two niche blogs where Adsense earns very well because it attracts high paying per click ads for specialist products.
