    Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas

It's listed on Publisher's Marketplace. CHRISTIAN pub. They say they don't charge. Covers are decent.

Anybody have any experience with them?

    From their website:

Please note: We do not take unsolicited manuscripts.

If you want to pitch your book, please make an appointment with us at one of these writing conferences or have your agent query us. Please submit your full proposal in a single Word document and e-mail as an attachment. In the body of the email tell us which writers’ conference you attended and remind us of the book project we discussed. If you are unsure how to create a fiction book proposal we recommend you buy a copy of Writing a Winning Book Proposal by Michael Hyatt.

If we did not request your proposal we will disregard your submission.

We will also consider previously released print books (for which you have the rights) from established authors with a clear track record of sales.

You may also wish to purchase a copy of A Novel Idea: Learn Plotting, Dialogue, Scene Development & Characterization in Under One Hour. We consider the elements in this ebook to be the basic components of a great novel.

We welcome submissions from ACFW members and Word Weaver participants.

Hyatt's e-book will set you back $19.97. The other e-book is by Eddie Jones, "an acquisition editor of fiction for Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas". It's a steal at $4.95 but I'd be surprised if the information contained therein isn't available for free elsewhere.

Lighthouse Publishing of the Carolinas is a fast-paced and innovative publisher of eBooks and Print on Demand (POD) paperbacks. We pay author royalties monthly, not quarterly. We DO NOT bill our cost of production against your profit. (You begin earning royalties on the first book sold.) As author, you work one-on-one with our book designers, associate editors and marketing team. Our aim is to improve your writing and grow you into a “blessed seller,” not simply print a book.

    Each book receives:

    ISBN assignment
Channel distribution to online and retail brick and mortar booksellers
    Author order discounts
    Author input in book design
    Sample book layout
    Custom cover design
    Amazon book search
eBook formats as Kindle, Nook, and (possibly iPad)
Are they saying that they can get POD books into bookstores? Because otherwise I get the impression that authors will be doing most of the blessed selling themselves.
