A friend I haven't seen in years emailed me yesterday, all excited because she's FINALLY published her book! I checked the publisher and, of course, didn't say anything but....it doesn't look good.

Thoughts?

Agreed. No promotion, $25 fee unless you sell 100 copies in three months, targets authors on the front page.

Also, this bit from the FAQ page is a big fat lie:

The reason big publishing houses promote and market is because they issue huge book advances and have a large staff with a marketing department. If they invest a book advance in you, they will market your book. If the book doesn’t reach enough sales to equal the book advance, the author is obligated to pay the money back as specified in the contract.

And the website has a lot of misused hyphens.
