Lou Reed is one of the great writers of the 20th century.
The music throughout his career showed more creativity and originality than anyone. David Bowie is the only artist in the same level.
There won't be another genius of the likes of Lou Reed for a long, long time.
If any of you don't know Lou Reed that well, change that. If you're on a writers forum, there's almost no way you wouldn't appreciate him. Listen to his Berlin album start to finish, to Coney Island Baby, to Transformer, to New York, to The Bells. Listen to the Andy Warhol tribute album he did with John Cale. And of course listen to all the velvet underground albums.
