Anyone dealt with The Dreadful Café? They look a little hinky to me. They pay well but they want 5-year non-exclusive rights to the work.

I certainly don't intend to start writing query letters and synopses for short story submissions, so they won't be getting any subs from me.

It's hinky. Non-exclusive rights means that if the work/author becomes tremendously successful, Dreadful Cafe doesn't reap the rewards. As a business strategy, that only makes sense if the publisher doesn't intend to do anything on behalf of the work.
