Received a rejection from FTR. Disappointing, of course, although not too surprising, as I was figuring they might be a little "out of my league" at this point. One of the nicest form rejections I've received, though, and I'm getting ready to send my story out again!

Good for you for sending them the story. Never assume someone is out of your league -- why erect a ceiling for yourself? Pick your dream markets, send out the work, and let the markets decide.

Oh, I'm interested in them, but I don't really have anything that I could submit. Isn't their next issue going to be Green?
Way to go for it! I'm so intimidated when I think about submitting.

Subbing can be intimidating, but there comes a point where you have to be Indiana Jones taking that leap of faith onto the near-invisible path over the canyon in Last Crusade.

I've got 4 shorts making the sub rounds and staring at those Rs requires lots of chocolate. :D
