It's International Book Week, so there's a game that goes around Facebook. The rules: Grab the closest book to you, turn to page 52, post the 5th sentence as your status. Don't mention the title. Copy the rules as part of your status.

But I thought we could play a different version of that here. Go to page 52 of the manuscript of your current WIP and post the fifth sentence.

Mine is "Then kiss me again."

Anyone else want to play?

I'll play.

"With luck and decent weather, I might be able to make the trip in four days."

An enormous serpent rose up out of the water, its twisted coils turning in on themselves in writhing folds of dull black scales.

Nice idea. When enough people have posted we can assemble all the sentences and publish it as a co-op venture :D

Here's mine

It took him several days to climb the structure.

Not my current wip, I don't have 52 pages yet. So here's from my last manuscript:

"There you will have the necessary time to strengthen your sword handling and to harden."

Um, yeah.
