I've found some detailed information about novel manuscript format in several threads on AW, but all of it seems to be several years old. Several people have mentioned that publishers have changed some of their preferences over the past few years--for example, I've heard that many of them now want Times New Roman rather than Courier. That has me a little nervous. For all I know, there may be several new standards I'm unaware of.
So are there any comprehensive guides to manuscript format that have been updated in the last two years or so? If anyone can point me to something either here on AW or anywhere else, I'd be grateful. I've tried looking on the websites of individual publishers and agencies, but everything I've found there has consisted of just a few basic points.
E.g., I am looking for something that goes into detail about margin widths, how to indicate scene breaks, how to indicate small capitals, etc. Thanks in advance!
