Can't change user title

Okay I'm stumped.

Several times I've tried to change my user title under my username.

Every time I try, I get this message that says something like: You've entered an Invalid birthday.

Huh? What does a user title have to do with your birthday?

The latest version of AW software requires a complete birth date, including a valid year, before you can change any aspect of your profile, including user title. The year need not be public. Oh, and before you ask, it rejects crazy years like 1492 or 1796.
