I had a year of Latin in high school, and barely remember three words, but a lot of your other stuff rings a bell.
With "vacuum tube articles" and a name like "Old Tele man" I can imagine one of your activities. You're making my think of "Hot Rod Lincoln" - the one on Youtube that's ten minutes long!

I'm an audiophile and a old fan of Vacuum tubes. I have a fun story about vacuum tubes. Years ago a friend worked for a company that had a contract to build an all solid state TV. They had worked out all of the system except for the high voltage rectifier. Try and they might, they could not find a way to do it with existing solid state devices. Finally they encapsulated a 1B3 in black casting resin and labeled it '1Nb3'.

Spent 4 years in high school and 2 years in middle school with Latin. Can't say I learned anything... sort of sad, but it got me out of needing college language credits, so it wasn't all for naught. Welcome to AW.
