I've been trying to remember a story I read years ago that was about a writer trying to get his novel published and is told that he has plagiarized an old obscure book.
So, he writes a second and is told that he plagiarized the same writer again.
The writer can't believe it so he goes and writes a third novel with the same exact results, plagiarized word for word.
It's been quite a while since I read the story but I think the above was the gist of it.
Anyone remember it?
