Project --> Export Project --> to RTF

Then choose where to save the file.

I think yWriter saves all the chapters in separate files, so it's probably a good idea to export everything into one file and then check for any formatting issues.

Ok, I'll give it a whirl and see what happens.

You can choose to export it all into one file.

What I meant was before you exported it, yWriter saves all the chapters in separate files, so it's probably a good idea to export into one doc (and check for formatting) before sending it out.

Sorry for the confusion.

Ok, if I've written my entire book in yWriter, how do I get it to Word, etc., for the final edit? Or is this even necessary?

Your mileage may vary, but the only thing I do in Word is format for submission. I find yWriter is generally better for editing as I can focus on each scene on its own, and still have a better look at the structure of the novel.

I can do similar things in Word, but it's more bother.

I use yWriter and when I'm ready for a final editing pass I always export to RTF (someone else explained how) and open it in Word.

I do most of the formatting and whatnot there as Word is a more powerful Word Processor. I personally prefer yWriter for Drafting/Notes and Word for Final Edits.
