I'm wondering if anyone could point me to a few good sources on managing English estates. My MC is currently figuring out his small estate and how to deal with a bad harvest. I'll take nineteenth century sources, but 1790s-ish sources would be ideal.

So far, most of my research into this vein has yielded a lot of books on the architecture or the gardens of a manor house. Right now, I'm more interested in the nitty gritty management aspects.

Thank you!

This may sound a silly question but have you tried googling for Estate records? I'm sure I saw a doc about an English estate and the records were available online.

Let me have a look.

Try Google Books. Look for "estate management" or some such and limit your search to book from the period you want.
