Letting folks here in infirmary know of a good outcome. My doc didn't like the looks of a mark on my chest and took it out with a punch cutter to send to the lab. It was malignant, so a dermatologist took a wider cut, and the poor lady was forced by her Hippocratic oath to look for more potential problems, which there were none. The second cut just came back cancer-free, so I thought I'd let you know my good news.
I get these pre-melanomas all the time. I've got the typical redhead's fair skin that freckles and when I was a youngster, I got a lot of sunburn. I'm paying for now. I get regular blasts of liquid nitrogen from my dermatologist. At least it doesn't hurt - just looks leprous for a few days.
, Gail, It's a relief to know it's a less scary routine for some here. Got to admit I was jittery when the first lab report wasn't good. As always, terrific support here.
