I'm a little concerned about Porter. He's been using punctuation and some of his posts are...like, understandable. Anybody checked on him lately? Cray, you putting something weird in the jello?

Yeah, all those empty chip bags and candy wrappers were starting to pile up.

Maybe we'll get a tornado before he gets his new supply...clean the place out a bit?

I copied this from a friend's post on FB. A sweet lady and dear friend that moved down to Louisiana to be near her daughter. Makes me feel a little better about the world, to see this kind of selfless giving of time by strangers to someone in need.

Yeah. What's the matter with people, taking care of their fellow man like that?

Yep. It'll be just one big Love In, next.

That's one of the things I love about Americans - the sense of community and .... wait. You're on FB??!! :D

I have always had a keen since of community ever since that day with the pitchforks and torches that pretty much changed my plans for the week for few days or so until I got all of that tar cleaned up and the feathers back into pillow cases and stuff even though they might not have been from the same ones before I got them given to me weather I wanted them or not without even asking me which it was in a manner that made me feel like the community was a lot like a lot of the other communities I lived in for a while or so and then left with sort of a parade escorting me to the county line or someplace kind of like that just to make sure I didnt get lost or something like that because

Well...just returned from my first class of this semester, Philosophy of Science. I'm looking forward to it since it surrounds two of my favorite - if not my two favorite - disciplines, philosophy and science. In science, primarily physics and its supporting math subdisciplines.

It may be difficult to hold my own views and rationale in the class, but there's hope already - the logical fallacy of positivism...even before one holds up the history of science as further evidence of the holes in the view of positivism.

The other students vary in age from, I'm guessing, 19 to 24yo. Such kids, but they're sharp, seemingly introspective, and educated. I didn't ask, but they may be dropouts from PU.

They didn't say, "comma," or "period," or "semicolon" or nothin' when they talked, so I figured that's a hallmark of PU. One of them kept writing "2 x 4," "2 x 4" on his notebook. Wonder what that meant. ;)

A dark, evil place.
Well...just returned from my first class of this semester, Philosophy of Science.

That was my first "A" in college. No doubt an entirely different course, but nonetheless sharing the same name. It was almost exclusively about the scientific method.
