This is Dexter, posing for the camera.

My dog, Tipper, received a non-consensual face lick from Ollie.

For a change, I actually got to go out on the town. We ate at Il Vicino wood oven pizza, (tasty), stumbled across the Hopping Gnome Brewery, (hole in the wall place), and then went to see "Hail, Caesar" this weekend.

Spent most of the movie trying to figure out the 'theme'. Then, I decided it was best not to examine it too closely. Even for a Coen brothers movie, this thing had a lot of underlying plot twists.

Syn, glad you got out and had some fun. :)

I'm getting out today. I have a dental appointment.

Sheesh. Will you people stop envying me like that! It's....... disconcerting!

I'm about to. Fall asleep, that is. I've been off my rocker for years...

I'd greatly appreciate it if one of you would put me out of my misery now. First chapter is rewritten, synopsis is done.

Next? The dreaded query letter.

I have my rocker ready, and a stiff drink too.

I've just posted my shortest, and most succinct query letter ever. Can't wait to see it ripped to bits.

I was ripped once
Me too...when I was weight-training. Oh, that's not what you meant, I bet.

HAPPY V-DAY, EVERYONE!

Mama Bear got an oxblood-red orchid to add to her collection; Sami Bear got a large, pink stuffed bear (of course) named Princess, almost as big as she is; and Papa Bear got a pack of EPDM rubber tie-downs for the garage (most excellent, as far as I'm concerned ;)).

The other day, the cub expressed an interest in playing the violin and we looked at them online (1/8 size for her age) and she decided she wanted a pink one. They're available in natural wood, pink, purple, black and probably chartreuse. Then she decided either the violin or the cello. I don't know where she gets these ideas, probably from her weird-assed family in this asylum.

My family doesn't have weird asses so we couldn't get into that one. They practically dragged us into others.

Just remember: when the cub tries to play her violin, put rosin on the bow or you won't hear anything, and expect to hear the death throes of small rodents rather than music for a while.

We weren't planning to provide her with rosin. ;)
