I'm having problems going to my blog from the link on AW posts. I had my sister check—same thing. Safari pops up and says it's an invalid address. I checked and it's correct?

Anyone else having this problem?

You may want to copy the address and put it in again.

You could also do it this way: The Long Rush Blog (or whatever you want to use). Put in the title you want, then highlight it, then use the Link tool (the earth with a chain link icon) to actually put in the address.

Do you know how to change it now?

Just go to Edit Signature.

Type in what you want to use. Highlight the part you want to make a link, then use the Link tool to put in the full URL (I find it easier to remove the http part that come up with the box and just paste the whole address in myself).

For example: Mare's Blog

Using: http://longbrush.blogspot.com/ (you are not putting in the colon)
http://longbrush.blogspot.com/

Look at the top of the Quick Reply box below this post. It has text formatting, then some icons. The first one (which is the earth with a chain link) is the Link Tool. If you put your cursor over it, it will say: Insert Link.

Well, I guess I don't know how to fix it. I see nothing except the space to type my URL into, and it's already in there correctly.

I don't see a 'tool.' :)

I'll get Mac to fix it (if she doesn't see this thread herself).

What do you want the link wording to say (where it says The Long Rush now)?

I don't understand "The Long Rush" showing on my posts, yet my correct URL is showing in the space on my edit page...

It was a mistake when we tried to fix it for you. The closest thing we initially found was The Long Rush. Your link didn't work at all.

Then I went and found the correct link.

You are putting in the address incorrectly. That's why it's often easier to copy the link from the webpage itself, then paste it here.

I would fix it for you, but I don't have that authority; only the administrators do.

Here's the step-by-step procedure if you want to fix it yourself.

Go to your blog webpage. Copy the URL address (highlight the address in the browser address bar, then right-click and copy it).

Come back here and go to Edit Signature.

Remove everything except Let the sentences unfurl!

Now you have two choices: just have the URL itself, or to use some sort of wording, such as My Blog.

If you decide to use a wording (most people do), then type in whatever you want to use. Then highlight that wording. Go to the Link tool (Insert Link); when the box comes up, remove the http part that is already there (backspace), then right-click and paste in the address you copied from your blog page.

Then save the signature.

Oops...

Alleycat, I'm so sorry—I was looking at 'Edit profile' instead of 'signature.'
I can usually do things on the computer, so it bothered me that I was having a problem with that. I went back and realized I was trying to work on the wrong place.
Anyway, I know how to fix it now... but should I leave it alone... ?

Good. Now you're all set.

Now I'm going to edit the thread title just to show the problem has been resolved.

Huh.

I wonder whose blog "The Long Rush" is, then?

Well done, Mare - and thanks for your help, AC!
