I have to admit I did kinda enjoy 'Valley of the Dolls'. And it is vaguely possible that somebody who resembled me might have bought some star wars 'expanded universe' books at some point in the past.

Angsty, scenery-chewing, paranormal manga.

I may possibly own all of Angel Sanctuary, Saiyuki, Saiyuki Reload, Diabolo, and everything so far translated of The Betrayal Knows My Name.

There's something irresistible about the literary equivalent of glazed doughnuts or a hot dog with everything, every now and then . . . :D

AW. A very nice place!
... honestly don't have any, unless trash news counts.
I enjoy reading about entertainers on occasion.
E.g. Justin Timberlake marrying Ally Beil.
Silly nonsense. But I find it relaxing.
Shh ;-)

Everything I read gives me pleasure. Not sure why I should feel guilty about that.

Same here. I never got the concept of "guilty pleasures." Unless your pleasure harms someone else, there's no need to feel guilty about it. In my opinion.

It's an expression, not necessarily literal. ;) Like eating that Twinkie isn't going to kill you, or anyone else, but it's not going to add to your general health and well-being and you'd rather not have one of your gym buddies catch you scarfing it down.

I don't think I've ever felt guilty for reading anything. My shelf of M/M erotica has just as much value as my shelf of classic literature, and I'm not the least bit ashamed to have everyone in the world know I read and enjoy it all.

Though I do sometimes feel guilty for reading when I haven't finished my word-count for the day. That's bad time management, not bad books, though.

I lOVED those books when I was a kid, and still have a couple.

I'd say that counts. :)

For me, it's Laurell K. Hamilton's Anita Blake series. The last ten have barely had plots around all the sex and male posturing, and yet, I still read them.

I can sum it up in a few lines:

You are huge! That means you have huge guts! Rip and tear! Rip and tear your guts!

Everything should have dialogue like this. ...well, not really. But it's hard to think about it without smiling. Come to think of it, though, that's not exactly a guilty pleasure, 'cause I don't feel bad.

Today, I read Crack of Death, by Sharla Tann.

The "they were all evil drug dealers pretending to be nice" paragraph was probably my favorite part. ETA: Although the part where the narrator pauses in the middle of the story to loudly wonder what kind of publisher would offer crap like this a contract was also fun. Hats off to the whole thing, though.

Xanth books. I had one that a friend let me borrow. I didn't read it for months then I finally decided to read a few pages. I just bought him a new book to balance things out because he's never getting it back.

Oooh, I love the Xanth series. Started reading them as a kid, and still get a kick out of them.

I really enjoy Janet Evonovich's books. So silly, the writing will never win a Pulitzer, but they are a quick, fun read.

Here's one nobody's said yet: Twilight.

I am such a teenage girl, I admit it. The main triangle and the plot surrounding them is bad, but the supporting characters are all so interesting and have such fascinating back stories that I can't help but love the books for that.

I don't think there's a book I've read that I've felt guilty about enjoying, but sometimes when I tell people I'm reading a certain book and have to explain the premise to them, I'm aware of how silly it comes across even though the book itself is really good.

Probably the best example of that is the Blue Bloods series by Melissa de la Cruz. It's about teenage vampire socialites in Manhattan.
