I've noticed recently if I click onto a link such as AW Roundtable for example to view the threads and it forwards straight to porn sites/advertisements. Anyone else have this issue?

I've never had that issue. You might want to PM AW Admin, but also run a scan for mal-ware on your machine. You may have picked up an Internet nasty on you computer.

Oh, huh. No idea on that. I do view AW on My iPad but have never had that issue. And I have no idea about how one checks/removes malware from an iPad.
I'd still PM AW Admin (or Medievalist, you'll get Lisa either way) and ask. She's more savvy about the ways of iPad than I.
