Hello,

I've been a long time stalker visitor of AW, but only recently managed to get the courage to register and post.

I'm in the hospitality industry but currently am taking some time off and a Masters HR candidate. Counting down to hear back and see if I have a plan for the next three years, or if I'll be back on the market looking for a job!

I've been using my spare time writing. While it has been a hobby before, it's become an obsessive passion now. I've recently finished my x'th draft of an urban fantasy novel, and thought I should get out there and get to know the online writing community a little better!

I've found many of the posts on Absolute Write Water Cooler really useful, and thought I should join to get the full experience. :)

Thank you very much for your time,

Sescha

Thank you :) I'm very excited to get a little bit more involved with this forum- more than simply lurking in the corners.

:) Thank you for the welcome!

I'm glad I did finally join. It might still take some time until I feel brave enough to post anything, but at least I'm learning by observing

Welcome. Good luck with your urban fantasy novel. That's a fun genre.

It is a fun genre!

Thank you all for the welcomes. I've just been at the SYW forums and looking at query letters, and I'm on this adrenaline rush. It wasn't my work being critiqued but every time I read a critique I was thinking "do I do that? I do that!" And now I'm addicted in this slightly masochistic way of comparing my work and over analyzing it. :)

Welcome xamich. I'm glad to see that you're already learning from the SYW section. I'm almost dreading the day when I actually post my work in there. Maybe we'll end up critiquing one another. However, first thing's first: I need to finish my damn novel. Best of luck with your writing.
