Yesterday we spent nearly three hours selecting bathroom fixtures, and we did not kill one another. We did go out to dinner and split a bottle of wine to smooth ruffled feathers.

White indeed. Of all the colors in the wide world, he wants the one that shows dirt the most. You can tell he doesn't clean bathrooms, huh?

Aaaaaand... Back from my critique group, in which I seem to once again be the only person who's writing, and this outside our shared genre, my current work being something they do not wish to see. One woman works full time, self-employed with long hours, in addition to caring for her aging mother who lives next door. I get why she only managed a couple of pages.

But the other woman is retired and does not have the internet at home. She lives alone, does not have many friends who are free during the day, and watches a lot of TV while also reading a lot. What could possibly be keeping her too busy to write? She's talking about easing back into writing with a three-page story. I think she should jump in the deep end and do a one-woman NaNo, but nobody seemed to care for that idea but me.
