So everyone thinks their writing sucks. Is that not a good thing?
If you were so narcissistic as to think that your writing was great then how could you ever be motivated to improve it?
... not sure if this counts or not, but I once sucked with my writing.
Was in a restaurant and the waiter forgot to give me a straw.
Taking a sheet of paper from my WIP I rolled it up and used that.
Worked fine for a second or two. Then got drenched and flopped into the cup.
Couldn't even make out the words once I wrung out the soda.
Fortunately had a copy on my comp.
Goes to show the importance of backing things up.
I am going through one of those days where I think my writing sucks. But I keep writing anyway. For me it helps knowing that if I don't like how something turns out, I can edit/rewrite it later.
How do you guys deal with periods where you think your writing sucks?
Blows dead bears.
So, I can either fix it, or not fix it.
I choose to fix it...or at least, try until I'm certain I have nothing left to try.
I like to torture people. If my writing causes people excruciating pain when they read it, I am satisfied.
