Patty Andrews, last of the Andrews Sisters, dies at 94
Not earth-shattering news, I know, but something of the last of an era for the Second World War.
When I was little, World War II vets were in late middle age and there was a lot of nostalgia for wartime music and movies. I saw a lot of the Andrews Sisters and really loved their perky close harmony.
I was just listening to them the other day. They were so fun and energetic. That Boogie Woogie Bugle Boy must be playing Taps right about now.
Their music was so much fun. RIP
... been getting into 'em for the last few.
Cool group. RIP.
