    Greetings from Oz.

Hi. This is my first post in a forum. Honestly, I'm a little nervous. Like many, I've been lurking here for a bit and finally decided to join.

Let's see . . . about me . . . I write romance in just about any genre, but I do focus more on fantasy/paranormal and contemporary. I've tried writing YA, but fail epically most times - it always seems to morph into adult. I'm not published. Yet. Hopefully, I will be one day. (Look at that, I just posted a smiley face!!)

Anyway, that's about it for now. See ya around the boards!

    WriterWho,

    Welcome to AW!

No need to be nervous. We all had to go through the same process.
Before going into battle, Vikings would ingest Amanita muscaria. In addition to being moderately poisonous, Amanita muscaria eliminated fear causing them to be feared warriors earning Vikings the nick name berserkers.

Hello, and welcome! I'm new too.

I write fantasy and sci-fi that always ends up with romance in it (not sure how that works) and even though I don't read any YA fiction -- at all -- I've been told more than once that my stories tend toward YA themes. Argh! Oh well.

Welcome. There's nothing wrong with not being able to write YA. Different authors have different strengths.
