    Greetings, everyone

Hi, my name is Robert Gonko. I'm a writer living in Illinois and am close to completing my first novel, "The Inheritance," which I plan to publish through Smashwords. I'll be honest, I came here looking for a beta reader but I'm also interested in networking so drop me a line and say hello.

    Welcome!

Robert, at least you were honest, but you should check out this thread before you post in the Beta Reader section.

The people on the forums will help you out a lot, and maybe you can help them too.

Shouldn't have done what? I just said check out the thread before you post. I didn't mean you did something bad, just a heads up.

I'd happily beta someone who participates in the forums and such. But it looks cheap if you run in here and ask for beta, ya know? It's like running into an AA meeting and saying, "I'm just here for the cookies."

Just as a note, Will, I can't imagine anyone coming for cookies at the AA meeting held in our town. I went with my friend and they had these tasteless oatmeal circles that ended up being used as coasters.

Robert: May I ask where you are located in Illinois?
