so minor update re: Cactus Country III anthology that my flash fiction piece was included in. There has been some confusion over the release date. First I heard April, then I heard January 20, then I've heard sometime in February. On their blog, it's announced the book is out or is ready or something, but it's not included in their bookstore or for pre-order on amazon

Any further news? An author with High Hill wanted to link with me on LinkedIn, but I remembered this thread and researched again. No great sales ranks, still more odd covers, and that publisher rant alone would spook me.

I only ever feeling equipped to judge children's lit, I went to the pub's site but to view their books requires a password. Forget that, so went to Amazon. NO, no, no... the Illustration for the children's books are not done by professionals (to put it politely)
A real publisher would never release such art in their children's line
Also saw one book that says it was released last year but the only 2 amazon reviews are for 2010 and 11. Perhaps the Author had self published previously? Do past reviews follow re-releases on Amazon perhaps?
