    [Publisher] Charles Pinot

A non-writer friend of mine was approached about a "Book Deal" with Charles Pinot Publishing. She asked me about it -- I don't like it. Looks like a ghostwriting and vanity publisher that creates books for business people for a fee.

    Anybody heard of them?

Published and printed in 3 days? Man I can just tell how sloppy that's gonna be. Write a book in 5 days with a handful of people, who's the author then?

Don't sound good to me either.

Appears they mean 'from the time your book is ready', to be fair, but still doesn't feel terribly much like 'publishing' a book to me.

I don't know, but I REALLY want to go on a "Wine Country Writer's Retreat."

Kidding aside, this looks sketchy. Really sketchy.

Update: My friend talked to them, and the publisher wanted her to pay THEM $30,000 for her "book contract."

    She declined.

I guess it depends on what result you want.

I mean, if you want to be 30 grand poorer, it's perfect.
