What's so great about getting a Nobel?

*Ponders if asking question because she doesn't have one*

Prize money.

And the ability to win every argument you ever have from then on.

Other person: "I think you're wrong."

You: "Do you have a Nobel Prize?"

Other person: "Well, no, but..."

You: "Then STFU."

Personally I think Obama should try this at the next debate.

:D

Me: How about some satin sheets?

I recommend high thread count sateen sheets, for the sole reason that if you dive onto the bed, they will jettison you right off the other side. This is hilarious.

Though slightly concussive. :(

YAm I the only one who doesn't care about word count? Would it be more motivating to keep track?

If you don't care about it, I can't see how it would motivate you.

I use it to track my progress and make sure that certain events/twists are hitting at certain points in the story, but my daily writing goals tend to be to write certain scenes or transitions. Word count is incidental, though I do like it when I break 3K. :)

Evening, folks. MrMac has gone out, leaving me alone with tea and chocolate biscuits. Mmmmmmmm...... 8)

I'll be right there!

The money never crossed my mind. that may be because I don't often have any.

I currently win all mathematics based arguments with a version of this.

"And where did you get your maths degree from?"

It's a killer every time - even though I fully admit to not being able to add or subtract particularly well.

Finished work. It's 9pm. Two hours of writing ahead of me. Who's with me? Anyone up for a war?

All this talk of chocolate made me want to go to the store to get some chocolate chips.

Then I had an even better idea.

I sent my girlfriend to the store to get some chocolate chips.

...that was before I remembered there's still a few slices of chocolate-glazed pumpkin pie in the fridge.

Whoops. :rolleyes

And only in my fondest dreams do I look like my avatar, so don't get any ideas.

You, my dear, are a sex pot. The sexy kind, not the cooking kind.

Cooking sex pot appearance: a pot, preferably colored black with red details, with a curved design and clear lid so as to easily see what lies within.

Cooking sex pot uses: melting chocolate to mold into sexy dresses, pour upon a willing "friend," and making sheep-like candies. All sweet ingredients can be placed within the sex pot, as it is not terribly picky.

Anyone can use a sex pot, although it's intended use is for adults only. And yes, a cooking partner is always preferred when using a sex pot.

Caution: contents may be HOT.

Anyone writing novellas (all types of fantasy or horror, but not hard SF) *not looking at anyone in particular* might want to look at this thread I've just created in the Paying Markets forum here.

They also have anthologies open for submissions - I'm just about to create that thread as well.

Interesting, though I dont see the later.

Can it be a minutes of studying war? ;)
