This thread is for people to ask questions about terms or abbreviations that are not in the Absolute Write Dictionary, and to suggest terms or additions to the dictionary.

I noticed this doesn't appear in either the AW dictionary or Cathy C's publishing terms glossary. From context, I take it this is shorthand for revise and resubmit, but you know what they say about assuming.
Am I close?
What does LBL mean?
New users and old, what terms and abbreviations do you see in use here that you didn't/don't understand besides those listed at the AbsoluteWrite Dictionary?
RYFW, sadly. That's one I don't see, but I'm sure it depends on where you hang out. Happy to add it. It used to be what I wrote and most of what I read. My, how things change, huh?
Those of you who spend time talking social issues, are there any additions that might mystify someone stopping at P&CE for the first time?
Maryn, who still reads TSM
I had to Google TFG, so maybe add that. The Former Guy is what I found. A way not to use Trump's name, I gather. And Brigid beat me to it. Was I right? Those of you who spend time talking social issues, are there any additions that might mystify someone stopping at P&CE for the first time?
I think it conflates the GOP with Qanon.GQP is one I see fairly often in P&CE. I'm guessing it's something to do with the GOP, but I don't know if it's an attempt to mislead searches or something else.
wanker: figuratively, a self-absorbed, annoying person; often applied to mansplainers. (Literally: a male masturbator)There's need for everything, yet I don't want the list to be crazy-long. (I had TBH, at least.)
I have some internet abbreviations, but I don't really have a feel for what ones absolutely everyone knows and which ones people have to look up, like I do so often.
I especially lack not-American terms and the subtleties of their meanings. Care to write a brief definition of wanker? What other words appear here that might befuddle US users?
