I recently had to return a 24" LCD monitor to Samsug suport for repairs. Seems the LCD was faulty and leaking. They put a new one in and returned it in about one week. Very good service.

My question is, does any of you know how comon this problem is?

I also have a Samsung 24" LED monitor and like it very much.So far no problems.

I really can't tell the difference in color between the two although the say there is.

Just wondering if any of you have had the same problem.

Occasionally any LCD monitor, or any monitor at all, will be faulty, just like every once in a while you buy an appliance and it doesn't work right.

I've been running two matching Samsung monitors for eight years with no problems.

Gee, blacbird, I didn't know I was using dinosaurs.

Steppe, I've handled, installed, and/or repaired over a thousand LCD monitors. The only ones I have ever seen leak were left out in a car in zero degree temperature overnight. They froze and the casing cracked. (laptops)

I've heard of it happening before, but I've never seen it, otherwise, myself.
