    [Publisher] Raintree / Curious Fox

Found another publisher that (I think) isn't on the AW list. They look good, but I noticed a typo on one of their book descriptions. Also if they are launching in the Spring of 2013, why do they have books out already?

I can't see that they have any books out already; the books they list all have pub dates scheduled for 2013. They're just showing the blurbs and cover art, I think -- which look pretty cool! I want the duckie book

They're an imprint of Raintree, which I think is a pretty big name?

It's an imprint of Raintree that launched last spring. Raintree looks like an established educational publisher; this would be its first foray into trade publishing.

Well I clicked on some of them and the "City Farm" horse book says March of 2012

Maybe another typo? I really do like the covers though. And they say they publish for children 8 and up. I wonder if they publish YA. That "Soul Shadows" sounds like it's YA, so maybe.

    Maybe another typo?
I reckon; Amazon.uk lists it as forthcoming in 2013.

Anyhow, I reckon this imprint is worth watching; Raintree has got the chops, and the books CFox has in press look quite appealing. I would expect, though, that they'll be an agented-submissions-only press.

Well as of now, they are accepting submissions on their "author" page.

Probably until they get bombarded by them and close the doors to only agented ones. With that link Victoria posted, they accept YA, so I sent mine in. I'll give you guys an update if I hear back. Definitely ones to watch. My only concern is there UK pubs and I'm here in the US, don't know if they publish internationally yet.

Just a note that Raintree was formerly Heinemann-Raintree, and is a division of Capstone.

When you look on the Capstone website and all their imprints, Curious Fox is not listed.

Unless this is Capstone's UK division?

It's UK, yes. There's mention of it here, if you're interested (bottom of page): http://www.capstonepub.com/consumer/about/

In colophons, Curious Fox is listed as an imprint of Capstone Global Library Ltd.
