    Cryptozoica illustrated novel ebook

--is really kicking some carnotaur butt, saleswise.

Over the last month, the ebook version of Cryptozoica racked up the sales...at one point last week, it was in the Top 20 of all ebooks available on Amazon, beating out some real heavyweights like James Rollins.

Don't know why exactly, but I'm not about to look a gift Majungasaur in the mouth.

If you haven't yet, give it a look...the price is right.

Glad to hear of your success. I really am. But you know better than to start a bunch of identical threads around the board. I've combined them into one.

Actually, you just moved "a bunch of identical threads" from the relevant forums into this one. By "a bunch" I presume you mean three.

    Not very efficient.

Best just to delete 'em all and we can move on from there.

When you have a modicum of professional expertise in database and server management, I might start caring what you think.

Until then, you'll respect mod decisions. If you find that too difficult, you can discuss it with MacAllister.

I'm giving you and the database a week off to contemplate your reasons for being an AW, and suggest you realize it doesn't include spamming the forums.

    You damn well know better.

I don't recall implying, hinting, inferring or doing anything else that suggested I ever thought you cared what I think...and conversely that I care about what you think.

But if you think I "damn well know better", I think you damn well know better that three posts in three relevant forums doesn't constitute spam.

We both know you're just looking for an excuse to show what a bad-ass you're desperate to believe you are.

Trouble is, online bad-asses make me laugh, not quake.

Arrogance and being drunk with what little power being an AW mod affords you is never going to be a substitute for real credentials, y'know.

Threaten, snarl, bully and ban all you want...it has zero effect on me...but if the effort makes you feel--even for awhile-- that you have some actual power, you can ban me permanently.

I don't mind...I got tired of all this crypto-facist, paranoid posturing on the part of you some of mods a long time ago.

    Buh-bye.

    CRYPTO-FASCIST! He actually used "CRYPTO-FASCIST"!

I thought that one was almost extinct in the wild!

Man, no one ever calls me cool things like "crypto-fascist."

As the unofficial AW troll judge, I'm almost impressed with that one..... not a bad flounce at all. Not quite as good as the 'more hostile than Afghanistan' flounce from last week but pretty good.

    I'll give it a five.

5/10? But he put all that effort into making a sock puppet account and he used big words and everything.
I think that deserves at least a 6.

Come on, "crypto-fascist" should at least bump it up a point. That's old school!

Yes, well. Anyone can call themselves a crypt-fascist, but only some of us can walk the walk.

Soccer Mom, you want to be a crypt facist? That's a completely different and much more scary thing.

Absolutely. And then you don't so much talk the talk and walk the walk as you do moan the moan and shamble the shamble.
An excerpt from Bigglethwaite & Windemere's Manual of Proper and Exquisite English on the Capitalisation of Historical Events.

The capitalisation of historical terms is a matter of concern to many writers. The rule, though simple, requires and reveals the writer's judgment, opinions, and preconceptions, and should be applied with care:

    1. Matters of absolute importance should be capitalised.
    2. Matters of no wider historical import should have only their proper nouns capitalised.
    3. Matters which the author not only considers insignificant, but wishes had never occurred, should have all words rendered in lower-case.
    4. If the writer looks upon history as a kind of fantastical territory, and wishes to assert either that it is wildly unlikely or highly distorted, all matters that can be considered nouns of any sort should be capitalised

    Sorry, what?

I thought three identical posts in different forums was almost the definition of spam in the terms of service here. And that someone with over a thousand posts on AW should know that.

And I thought it was dealt with pretty mildly.

What the heck does this have to do with "Threaten, snarl, bully and ban?"

    Also ... "crypto-facist, paranoid posturing?"

Does anybody really use language like that?

    Ay yi yi.

Posturing on someone else's board, blog, group, whatever, is almost always an exercise in futility.
