Hey--Anyone out there heard anything good or bad about Steward House Book Publishing Company?

Do you mean this one?

It appears to be owned by a coder posting as merlyn, with a Yahoo ID of Gryphon Shafer, and whose home page identifies him as Randal L Schwartz, a consultant who who writes for Linux Magazine.

The Steward House website is registered to Gryphon Shafer.

They appear to be a small press, but I can't tell if they charge fees or not.

How did you find them, Gondomir?

There are only two books available for sale, published in 2009.

Both are by Gryphon Shafer and/or J. Gryphon Shafer.

Each has only 1 review. For 5 stars each.

I'm not impressed.

Thanks, I will avoid this "market." Interestingly, in the same search I did that came up with Steward, Musa came up too. How do you like Musa?

Finally got an R on a full from SH from a submission 6-1-12 of last year. I nudged them in April of this year and finally got an answer. They were swamped and dealing with a maternity leave. I dunno, that's a long time.

Three books published now, from two authors - but nothing since 2011. Two books appear to be the owner's (one written, one edited), and the third a teenager's. Website geared toward authors, not readers (you have to hunt to find a list of books). Appears to be a self-publisher trying to expand.
