In my opinion, one of the most understated musicians in rock and roll. He had great taste in song and band member selection. He knew what his sound was and stuck to it. And it was brilliant that he had Tom Brumley on lap steel. I lose brain function every time I hear one of Brumley's solos:

Last Time Around

And yes, Rick Nelson was quite handsome, but hell, I like Neil Young and he ain't so that's not it :D. Rick Nelson was a great musician, period. I'd put him up there with Buddy Holly, and yes, Elvis.

First of all, Laverne & Shirley is my favorite show ever.

Rick was very handsome, but really he was just such a great musician. It's really sad he left so soon. I managed to get Rudy the Fifth on vinyl last year, but I also love the Garden Party album. I found it at the vintage book/record store but didn't have enough money at the time, so I made them hide it behind the counter for me. It's so good.
