Guys, I went to a bar with friends and when they asked about my book I just pulled out my ARC and handed it around. 5,000x better than trying to explain anything. I was actually proud and happy and not all sick and pukey! Wtf?

Morning all.

Gentle hugs for Lily.

Hooray for more lovely Purgy books and covers!

Hooray for Vikings, I loves them! I have a vague item on my 'to be written list. 'Gay vikings'. That's all I got. I used to live in Cumbria, which was stealthily settled by the Norse. You can tell by some of the place names up there, wonderful names like Helvellyn. Very evocative. There was a family who farmed high up on one of the fells. They had a Norse surname. They'd farmed there for 1,000 years. Then when farming took a hit during the foot and mouth outbreak, they decided to sell up and move to Canada. It just amazed me that the same family had farmed the same land since they first settled there.

Here endeth my babble for the day. Back to work for me.

It did! Now winter finally seems to be making an appearance. We may get snow next week. About time too!
Mind, they're still pumping out that drain and we also have sewage waste spewing out another place, next to the post office, not nice. Will be interesting to see what happens if we get this vicious cold snap we're supposed to be getting. Frozen poo!

Morning, all.

Lily, glad you're feeling better!

Blond and JL, boo! That sucks.

Tas, fingers crossed for you.

I had some other things to say, but I'm still boggling over Sunna's story and have forgotten. Sorry.

Hair is newly dyed a dark mahogany with lighter red streaks. Pics don't show off the color at all. It either looks black or bright red. So they're pointless.

Ink wench's beauty cannot be captured on film or pixel. Sounds right.

Oops, sorry to miss saying sorry for Cricket's long day and JL's job disappointment. In my observation the words "job" and "disappointment" fit together as well as, well "publishing" and "disappointment."

And aren't we glad Sunna lived?

Sssoooo the IT manager that came over and told me to apply for that position... Turned around and shot down my resume before the end of the day... So confused and tired of getting my hopes up and kicked back down.

Oh well... Keep going.

Morning all.

((Caleb)) ((JL)) ((All sick Purgies and kiddos))

I think that covers it. Woke up to super pea-soup fog today. I am so glad I don't have to go anywhere until later.

I need to buy yarn. I must finish an afghan for my Dad and make one for a friend's wedding present. Both are extremely easy designs. I just need to get off my duff and get the yarn.

That sucks, Caleb.

Jo - I think that means you're doing what you're meant to be doing. ;)

Mornin' folk.

Just another day in paradise.

Morning, purgs! Feeling ever so much better today -- which is slightly unexpected, as I spent about 5 hours last night at SunnaMom's with my niece, author of the sneeze that got me sick in the first place, on my lap. She was determined to memorize the Russian alphabet so she could display her weird new knowledge at show and tell. (I love this kid.)

I may not have been the best choice to teach this to her. As I was explaining that ж is the sound a bee makes when you squash it, ы is the noise someone makes when they're hit in the stomach, and ш and щ are the first (polite) and second (annoyed) times you have to shush someone in the library, Mr Sunna grumbled All right and took over.

My career as a teacher of RSL has died aborning.

Mini book fort!

Two copies and cover flats, hot off the press!

Gorgeousness! And so glad you're feeling better.

Billie, I have to say it again (and again and again): I  that cover so much.

{{{Caleb}}} Hang in there.

New firm wants to pay barely more than half of what JL asked for. It's understandable, but he's not settling for that. So back to the other temp job on Monday and we keep searching!

Agh. :Hug2: Maybe a few weeks without him will change their minds.

Ink, the hair sounds lovely.

I dunno, that seems a pretty close approximation to me. Mr Sunna is altogether too fussy. Heehee!

Lily-Pie, so glad the mouse magic is working.

Ink, your hair colour sounds gorgeous.

Busy, busy, busy here. In the middle of editing a 99k behemoth. :Wha:
