I had a lovely call with my marketing rep today. Getting very excited about this book launch thing!(ETA: I maintain, if two people I've never met buy it and like it, I'm going to be very happy. Anything else is just gravy.

I sent Book 2 (Purgy Pandemonium) off to Agent last night. I'm nervous - I hope he likes it and doesn't tell me I have to tear it up and start all over. On other news, Agent finalized the details on my contract last week and asked for a signature copy, and I should get it next week.

I'm getting moused today. Sigh. It's not the magic bullet I'd hoped for. I foresee lots of meds tweaking in my future. Perspective: Without it I'd be unable to walk, hold anything, or otherwise function.

I am proud to say that my WIP now only has 1.5 sections left to write. I nailed one yesterday. Now, if I can get the rest done before Thanksgiving it would be awesome.
And maybe, just maybe, I can start querying in December.

So, I haven't been around much lately. Apologies for being spectacularly not-caught up, but I'm lurking. Incredibly busy week here with all the deadlines, but I'm at least enjoying my school projects. It's some other parts of my life that I'd like to quit, but oh well, right?
Anyway, to the Purgy breakfast bar to get caffeinated and stuff!

Dys, you'll find butterscotch scones and pumpkin muffins with streusel topping at the breakfast bar. When I can't sleep, I bake. And of course we brew coffee every half hour and have a lovely assortment of teas as well.
I can tell it's getting to be winter again by my hands. I'm not in Lily's league in terms of joint pain, thank goodness, but man, both thumbs and a couple of random fingers are complaining good and loud this morning about the cold.
So, what do you think, walk outside even though it's cold, or do the treadmill, which always seems much harder?

Maryn, I hate treadmills, so I'd always choose outside unless it's cold rain.

I think I need to hire Maryn to bake for me...
You guys will probably laugh at me, but I have an Old Person Leg. (yes, at age 25. Actually make that age 17, because that's when it happened). Anyway, the leg I had two giant blood clots in bugs me every time just before it gets colder. It's like my personal storm predictor.
I'm impressed by everyone's workouts. Right now I'm only running around at work (though that's like its very own nightly workout most of the time). What's kind of nice is that I'm still losing a little bit of weight at the time just by watching what I eat (or not having any time to eat, er...) On which note, I'm rewarding myself for this week's intense homework session with Milka chocolate. Mmmm...
And apple cider sounds good. Just not the leaky kind...

Might hot cider have some acidity level or chemical makeup which isn't glue-friendly, something different than coffee's?

I was thinking something with the acidity. It's actually eating through a straight ring around the bottom of the cup, about a quarter inch above where the cup is joined to the bottom. Been that way on all three, so I'm thinking maybe a flaw in the paper batch used?
Either that, or Caleb's stalker is trying to poison me.
