I've always seen her all over this forum, and she was always kind and a bright soul. I've lit a candle for her.
Neither do I. I don't think words can express the sadness of this community. And as a forum of writers, that is saying something.
Did Larissa mention how long CactusWendy has, or if we as a community to do anything to help?
Will miss you greatly, Wendy. AW won't be the same without you. You've welcomed so many into the community. Hugs and my condolences to her family. She will be missed by many. May your journey be gentle and painless. You'll always be an AWer. <3 My prayers are with you and your family.

One of my favorite people here. We often traded crime books and knowledge and crits. Wendy was my very first crit partner here. In fact, she was one of the first people outside of family to whom I showed my writing.

She is/was one of my favorites here from the very beginning. Primarily because of her compassion, wit and intelligence. Also the words in her sig line: "I love you guys."

She didn't, Bill. I've written back with a link to this thread/vigil, asking if there's somewhere we can send flowers, or make donations in her name, and if there's anything at all we can do -- and to please keep us posted.

Wendy and I critiqued work for each other off the boards and she was always encouraging, always kind, always upbeat. I'm sending good thoughts to her and her family.
