I was wondering what the best program was for making panels and general graphic design techniques that could be used in comic books.

I've already got Critter and Gimp, but there doesn't seem to be a paneling option on those (and I can't get Photoshop on linux) - I can't open more than one image file at one time on those programs, which makes paneling very difficult.

Also, I'm looking for more professional programs, but know very little about technology and software for linux.

I'm curious as well (as a side note) if anyone knows a good scanner for 10.10 as well!

Thanks in advance for any replies!

Pretty sure there isn't one for Ubuntu. Gimp is the closest I can think of or find.

Thank you very much. I've heard Scribus is good for Linux.
