I'm just curious as to how many AW members have switched agents, and what your experience was when you were looking for a new agent. Was it easier? Harder? Did you get a lot of questions about why you and your other agent parted ways?

I switched agents. It was easier for me to get manuscripts read, but I don't know if that's because I already had published work out there. I would say some agents are more leery of you if you've split with a reputable, well-known agent. You are going to get questions from everyone who is seriously interested as to why you aren't with your former agent. It's only to be expected. And you're still going to have to have a manuscript someone really wants to represent.
