Just passed my one-year anniversary last week.
Yep. I was an AW member for about a week, still shy about my non-writer status and uncertain about what was where and who was who and fairly unfamiliar with forum protocols, when the April First Steampunk Extravaganza happened.
Boy, that was one disorienting Saturday.
But exhilaratingly fun, and most people seemed to be enjoying it, and somehow the craziness encouraged me to look around at all sorts of boards I hadn't checked out yet, and lots of people were kind to me when I was a true newbie (hi, maxmordon!).
So, whatever happens tomorrow, thanks for last year.
