Mother's day is only in May for Americans... just a FYI
We had it in March here...
Not so! Although there are
major variations as to when people celebrate, the May date is used by Australia, Austria, Bahamas, Barbados, Belgium, Belize, Botswana, Brazil, Brunei, Canada, Chile, China, Colombia, Croatia, Cuba, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Denmark, Dominica, Ecuador, Estonia, Ethiopia, Fiji, Finland, Germany, Greece, Grenada, Guyana, Honduras, Hong Kong, Iceland, India, Italy, Jamaica, Japan, Latvia, Liechtenstein, Macao, Malaysia, Malta, Burma, Netherlands, New Zealand, Pakistan, Papua New Guinea, Peru, Philippines, Puerto Rico, Saint Kitts and Nevis, Saint Lucia, Saint Vincent and the Grenadines, Samoa, Singapore, Slovakia, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Suriname, Switzerland, Taiwan, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkey, Uganda, Ukraine, United States, Uruguay, Vietnam, Venezuela, Zambia, and Zimbabwe.
It's by far the most common date worldwide, which makes me a lot less edgy about it than Memorial Day.
