hello everyone! *looks around thread* ooh, I haven't been here for a while!

I'm on summer break now and trying and failing to get back into writing novels so I think it will be good to hang out here occasionally because you guys are all cool and writerly and maybe somehow the general spirit of working on WIPs will seep in through this thread and into me or maybe not ANYWAYS HELLO everyone!

Hey Elu.

How is everyone? How goes the writing?

I haven't written in a couple weeks. My WIP is open now but...I just can't write.

I've only now cracked open Scrivener. Must finish this epic climax. Unfortunately the Universe seems to have something against progress this week, because I spent most of my time off trying to find a new car. Alas, writing now. *clings to WIP*

I know how you feel, HR. I think my muse was traumatized by all the work I had during the school year. It tends to hide a lot, now.

Dys, the Universe is cruel, and a new car is awesome. *has duct tape on her car*

Hey everyone!

I am having a crisis.

What's wrong, lisa?

Well, I want to write a light, fluffy chick lit novel for CampWrimo. But BTP doesn't seem like it will be, unlike something I started for my first NaNo attempt.

There is also a part of me that just wants to do a "mood" playlist of awesome female singers/bands and play it on shuffle, and an "inspiration board" and WING.

GAH.

I have that same problem. I can't write light and fluffy no matter how hard I try. My trunked contemporary wip was supposed to be a nice, happy, romantic story, but then it got really sad and dark. *shrugs* Maybe BTP isn't meant to be light and fluffy. I find that if I try to force it, then the story won't work out. Just write it the way it wants to be written.

Ugh.

Just keep writing. Don't fret. You'll have enough time to do that with revisions and querying.
