Hi!!

So, this is not my first time at AbsoluteWrite - but since I've been completely inactive for at least a year (probably more), it's preeeeetty much like I'm new, so I figured I might as well introduce myself again.

I loved this place when I first discovered it. It's pretty much the best place I've seen so far for serious writers on the Internet. But then things got kind of crazy school-wise, and I ended up forgetting all about the site for a while. I've rediscovered it, though, and I'm back, and this time I'm staying! :)

Not too much to say about me... I live in Canada, I'm a junior pre-med/psychology student (studying to be a psychiatrist), and I work as an assistant manager for a national loose tea retail chain. I work twenty hours a week during school and full-time the rest of the year. Writing is not my career ambition, but it's a hobby I'm VERY serious about. During the school year, I still average an hour a day of work on writing projects. Make that four or five hours a day during the summer. I've had three of my short works published, but no novels, although I consider myself primarily a novelist. I've written three novels, two of which I have continued working on. Those two constitute a series that I've been working on almost exclusively for over three and a half years - I'm currently doing outlining, research and planning for their second major revision stage, during which I'm hoping to merge them into a single novel. My project chronicles, over a 17-year period, the life of a young man suffering from a severe psychiatric disorder.

I'm really excited to have found you guys again and to get to know other writers and authors! I can't wait to start browsing these forums!

Cheers,
N.L. LeBlanc

Welcome Back! It's great to have a place like this to return to. I come and go as well, depending on where I'm living and what my internet access is like.

Don’t forget to read the FAQ regarding posting pictures at AW.

Welcome back to AW. Hope you enjoy your stay with us.
How do you like your popcorn?

If you go to the bottom of the page to the 'forum jump' you can scroll down and find all the areas of this place. After you post 50 posts you can use the SYW areas to get help there. The password for some of the areas is…..vista. A word to the wise, it would be a good idea to participate first in helping others before you think about posting your own work. After you have been around here for awhile, then post something of your own for help. Good luck.

Welcome back! From another not-so-newbie
I was noodling around the site, in the same position as you, and saw your note! It's such a handy site, but there's just so *much*. hopefully, you and I can both find our way again now that we're back.
