Hello from glamorous....Kentucky?

Hi everyone. My name is Brandon and I've only recently been made aware a community such as Absolute Write existed. What can I say, the rocks we live under in the South are pretty big.

Anyway, like probably everyone here, I'm a writer looking to help others and seeking help as well. I hope I can contribute to discussions and become a valued member.

I've written four novels, but yet to produce that awesome query letter to get them into the public eye. Still working on those, and it will happen eventually. The Complete Idiot's Guide to Getting Published told me so. I stick mostly to the fantasy genre for writing and reading (George R.R. Martin FTW), but I wouldn't consider myself confined to the fantasy world. One of my works is speculative Christian fiction that received a lot of positive marks from agents, but was considered too risque. Oh well.

Other things: I'm a UK basketball fanatic (boo Duke), I love the UFC and MMA in general. I'm a certified personal trainer and mason (random). My wife and three sons are my life.

I'm glad to be a part of these boards and I hope I can be of help to anyone who needs it. I know the ultra lows that come with being a writer, but as MMA fighter Fedor Emelianenko said, "The one who doesn't fall doesn't stand up."

I'd say it's more. All the meth labs around here tend to skew the view.
