    March 2012 Blog Chain

Starting Date: Monday, March 5, 2012
Open to all forum members, even after it starts!

    This month's prompt:
    Rainy Days

Write wherever the prompt inspires you. It can be fiction or non-fiction, all wet or high and dry, mushy mud or hard-packed earth. If you want to go with snow, hail, boiling hellrain, biblical frograin, or some other kind of precipitation, knock yourself out.

    Instructions:
Simply post your blog's URL in this thread to join. Each post should be less than 1000 words if possible. Read and comment on other participants' posts if you possibly can--they'll be doing the same for you!

I'll let you know in this thread when it's your turn.
Once your turn comes up, you have two days to complete your post. When you are finished, please add a link to your post on the thread. If you signed up but find yourself unable to participate or need to be moved around in the schedule, please PM me or post in the thread. If you fail to post on your blog and on the thread within two days, I'll bump you down to the end of the line on the third day; you'll get a second chance at the end of the month.

Please include a list of all participants' blogs (not necessarily their actual posts for the month) in your blog post, and keep in mind we're not starting until later in the month to give people time to sign up.

I had a question if other forms of precipitation, like snow, were acceptable.

The answer is yes. I grew up in a place where March regularly saw raging snowstorms and April often had snow too. If you want to get all Tolkien and do some kind of ridiculous fantasy rain, too, I won't stop you.

I'm game. I'm a procrastinator, so the lower on the list the better.

Something like this sounds great to help out with getting my blog off the ground. I'm pretty new to blogging.

Hey guys, I'd like to put in a plug for the AW Western Short Story Contest. It's a collection of 40 short short stories written by AW members, and they need people to read and vote.

One of them is even by yours truly. See if you can guess which one! I think you'll be pleasantly surprised.

Here is mine! It has some very mild adult content, might want to put a warning. My post its self does have a warning.
