So sorry - I'm sure this must be answered somewhere but. . . .

What do you generally include in a query letter for flash fiction?

I'm pretty comfortable with the format for a novel, but flash is so short - does it really need any kind of set-up? Or do you just give them a title, word count, and let them read?

I'm new to short fiction and not sure where all the answers are hiding!

Perhaps you mean a cover letter? If that's the case, include title, author, word count, and maybe a one to two line pitch (though you don't even need this part). So something like this:
"She thought she met the guy of her dreams. That is, until she found out he didn't even exist."

Yes, sorry (novelist, remember - we pitch in queries). Cover letter for the submission.
